Chase Playback and Playback with Recording (VR mode when using
DVD-RW Ver. 1.1/2X 1 – 2X recording speed)
Chase Play is an amazing new feature on Pioneer DVD recorders. If
you are interrupted while watching your favorite program, simply
start recording on a DVD-RW disc* in “VR Mode”. If you are
recording a football game while you are out and you happen to get
home before it’s ended, there is no need to wait until it’s over
to start watching. Relax and watch right from the beginning while
the DVD recorder continues recording the rest of the game. Using
the scan forward function, you can even skip the less interesting
sections, until you have caught up with the live broadcast!
Simultaneous Recording and Playback
Simultaneous Recording & Playback allows the user to record
material (e.g. a TV program) while playing back a different
recording made previously. This DVD recorder provides this
feature when using DVD-RW discs* (and recording in “VRMode”).
Erase Title and Erase Chapter (VR mode)
Disc History
New Advanced GUI (Graphical User Interface) with Advanced Disc
Navigator and Set-Up Navigator
The new Disc Navigator interface uses a thumbnail image menu to
guide users through the various playback functions. Select a
thumbnail image and the corresponding title starts playing within
the thumbnail frame. Formerly, it was sometimes difficult to
recognize what was recorded with just the still images. From now
on, users can easily recognize which program they recorded.
