Draper makes some of the best display furniture
available, and the
FT MT2000 is no exception. It’s part of a family of flat panel
display stands of various heights and configurations (see
http://www.avdeals.com/floorstands.htm for the complete line up)
The FH MT2000 features a towering 80” column with lockable castor
wheels. Other options are also available, like a shorter
63 inch column, u-shaped base
without wheels, etc.
Everything except the optional shelves is made
from cast aluminum for strength and weight reduction. The powder
coating is smooth and consistent, lacking some of the imperfections
we’re used to seeing on this sort of gear. The column features
integrated cable management, allowing you to run your cables invisibly
through the center of the column.
Draper also uses an innovative
ratcheting style mounting for both the column shelves and the display
mount itself, making on-site adjustments easy. The optional column
shelves may be adjusted on the fly, while the display mount is locked
down with two large hex nuts for safety.
Attaching the display to the column is easy,
although likely a two person job, especially when used with a larger
panel. Draper uses a non-symmetrical plate that attaches to the black
of the display, and slides into the adaptor mounted to the column.
It’s easy to ensure a safe, solid fit, very quickly.
The innovative Draper column design (it
spreads across several product lines) allows for using multiple
shelves, provided you’d got room for them. The shelves can be either
forward or backward facing, and can be height adjusted along the
entire available length of the column with a simple one handed
adjustment.
The fit and finish of this piece cannot be
overstated. It’s proven very popular for trade show applications given
it’s versatility and relatively light weight and easy portability.
It’s also incredibly adaptable, allowing for installations of single,
large panel displays, or multiple small screens. For trade show use,
consider purchasing a custom ATA travel case for the screen and mount,
so they ship together. Contact sales@avdeals.com for details.
