Panasonic Debuts Wireless Classroom Projector

Panasonic has launched two new projectors designed for fixed installations in classrooms: PT-F200NTU and PT-F200U, both upgrades to the previous PT-F100 series. The PT-F200NTU includes built-in wireless connectivity and support for streaming video.

Both of the LCD projectors offer 3,500 ANSI lumens of brightness with up to 5,000 hours of lamp life at maximum brightness. Other features include:

  • Resolution of 1,024 x 768;
  • Contrast ratio of 400:1;
  • 2x powered zoom lens;
  • Auto-rolling filter that automatically detects dust in the air; and
  • Daylight View for optimizing dark portions of images for daytime viewing.

In addition, the PT-F200NTU includes WLAN capabilities with support for simultaneous connectivity with up to 128 computers. It supports the PJLink protocol and includes wired connectivity for control, monitoring, and e-mail alert messaging. Wireless connectivity supports both Mac and Windows-based systems with wireless cards.

The PT-F200NTU sells for $4,499. The PT-F200U runs $3,999. Further information can be found at Panasonic's projector site here.
