OPTOMA UNVEILS TWO NEW LARGE-VENUE PROJECTORS

TW775 and TX785 Represent Company’s Best & Brightest for Numerous Corporate, Education and Military Applications

Toronto, Canada | June 17, 2009 | Optoma, the award-winning manufacturer of digital projection and display devices, demonstrates its expanding expertise in the large-venue market by introducing the TW775 and TX785, its two newest DLP® projectors designed to fill auditoriums, lecture halls and conference rooms that seat up to 200 people. Complete with three high-quality lens options, and high-efficiency lamps that put out 4400 and 5000 ANSI lumens, respectively, each of these new projectors can deliver a maximum screen size of 300” at throw distances ranging from 17’ to 60’.

“The TW775 and TX785 feature extraordinary brightness, compatibility and installation versatility,” said Jon Grodem, director of product and marketing for Optoma. “Both models are ideal for use in high-end applications including corporate and government conference facilities, lecture halls, rental and staging and house of worship.”

A center-lens position with full lens shift provides more flexible projector placement of both models without compromising image quality.  The full lens shift capability allows users and installers to tackle even the most challenging installation setups.  And both are networkable through an RJ45 connection to allow IT administrators remote management from anywhere on the network.  And like all Optoma projectors, both the TW775 and TX785 use filter-free design that reduces maintenance, thus lowering the cost of ownership.
Both new projectors offer a full complement of features to meet the installers’ and end-users’ needs, including three lens options which provide greater installation possibilities.  Users can choose between a dedicated short-throw lens which produces large images in tight spaces, a medium/standard-throw lens, and a dedicated long-throw lens, all of which employ a quick-change bayonet mount.

According to Grodem, each lens attachment has been optimized for its individual throw range.  These lens attachments contain higher quality “ED” glass elements which reduce distortion, providing overall sharper images with better brightness and contrast.
