When you receive this mount it will come in a rather thin brown cardboard box. Once you open up the box you will find a neatly packaged slate grey in color "L-PDM" mount, which stands for Low-Profile Plasma Display Mount.
Once you take everything out of its packaging you will notice how streamlined this mount is, and yet not lacking in strength. You will also notice how streamlined the arms are that mount to your display. They measure a mere 1 ¼ inch wide. Also the total thickness of the mount is a mere 1 inch! This is the lowest profile mount I have ever seen. It would have come in very handy had I known about it in my installer days with some customers who insisted that there plasma be mounted closer to the wall then the normal flat wall mount we were using at the time.
The mount comes with almost everything you should need to install it on a wall with wooden studs, if you require to mount this on brick you will nee to go out and pickup some lag shields. It comes with M4, M5, M6, M8L and M8S Machine screws to attach the arms to the back of your Plasma or LCD Television. Also it comes with 4 Lag bolts to attach the plate to the wall with, along with some plastic spacers and a wide range of flat and lock washers.
On the wall plate you will notice two nice big cut outs to go over an electrical outlet or for your components wires to pass through if need be. The holes measure 11 inches wide by 4 inches tall. In between the holes is a handy arrow pointing up, which is the direction it needs to be facing when you mount this plate to the wall, if not it will make hanging your display a very difficult task.
The arms that mount to your display will slide as far as 30½ inches or 775mms apart. The maximum vertical separation for the holes on the arms is 19 inches or 483mms apart. The
mount has tabs that will prevent your TV from sliding off the bracket which is indeed a very handy feature. It also comes with two tilting brackets that allow you tilt your TV up to 15 degrees, or just mount it flat the wall.
Also a very rare feature is instead of this mount coming with one long locking bar to prevent someone from lifting your TV off the wall. It comes with 2 short bars, one for each arm. This is a big thing for a couple reasons. If you have ever tried to line up a 32” long piece of steel to slide through two small slots in can be a challenge. But most importantly if you install the Monitor in a recess it would be impossible to slide that long locking bar in, Now with the short ones you can just reach behind or under the TV and slide them in to easily secure your display.
