Introducing the HDS4, an HDTV audio and video
switch. The HDS4 is capable of switching 4 sources of component
video, digital audio (coax and optical), and analog audio, all with
the convenience of IR remote controllability. It's flexible inputs
and passive switch contacts allow for switching of 5 wire video
formats such as VGA (RGBHV), as well as reverse operation (1 source
to 4 outputs).
FEATURES - Zektor HDS4 Component Video Switch
4 Inputs, 1 Output Up to
four sources of HD component video, and one outputs. Video
performance at 37MHz is -0.3dB (avg. of all channels). -3dB
bandwidth is over 100MHz.
Passive Switching Design. Video and analog audio signals
pass through Silver Alloy with Gold plating, relay contacts.
The benefit of this is zero amplifier noise, zero gain or loss,
and plenty of bandwidth for the upcoming 1080p signals. The
impedance controlled design provides the same quality as a
direct cable bypass. All internal signal lengths have been
matched to eliminate any signal delay errors. All inactive
inputs are 75 ohm terminated to reduce cross talk, and to
greatly reduce the possibility of spurious noise pickup on any
unused inputs. The passive design also allows signals to be
routed backwards through the switch, allowing up to four
display devices to be switched to one source. (Note: SPDIF and
Toslink connections are not bi-directional.)
Component Video, L/R Analog Audio, Digital Audio on Coax (SPDIF)
/ Optical Digital Audio (Toslink)are available on each input.
Optical (Toslink) and Coax (SPDIF) are both automatically
converted. When either input is active, both signals
are available on the outputs.
The Left and Right Analog Audio inputs use the same passive
design as the Component video inputs. This allows them
to also be used for high bandwidth signals such as RGBHV or VGA
(some adapters to RCA plugs would be needed).
Controllable using any Universal Remote. Control the HDS4
using any universal remote by selecting from a small list of
existing manufacturer command codes, or by teaching the HDS4 to
use any unused buttons on your existing remote. There's no need
to use a learning remote control (though the HDS4 will work
fine with one); the HDS4 can be taught to use any unused
buttons on your existing remote control. (Remote
control not included.)
Remote Control interface allows: Power Toggle,
Bright/Dim/Auto Display Modes, Direct Channel Selection,
Channel Up, Channel Down and for better integration with
universal remotes with macro capabilities Power On, and Power
Off are also available.
Auto Dimming Display. The LED indicator lights can be set
to Bright, Dim, or Auto mode. Auto mode will fade the LEDs to
half power after a channel is selected.
Full Size Metal Enclosure for better integration into your
system. (17"W x 6.5"D x 1.75"H)
Available in Black or Silver.
Rack Mountable, 1RU. (Rack mount ears
available in black only, sold separately.)
Gold Plated Connectors used throughout design.
