The Sony VPL-CX5 is one of the latest additions to the ranks of high-quality
Sony projectors, and is ideal for handling presentations when you are always
on the move. Compact and light enough to be easily carried, The VPL-CX5 projector
is an excellent choice. The Sony VPL-CX5 provides a brightness of 2000 ANSI
lumens, XGA (1204 X 768) resolution and a full range of functions. The VPL-CX5
meets the demands of the road and in the boardroom.

of 2000 ANSI lumens The SONY VPL-CX5 accomplishes best-in-class brightness.
The VPL-CX5 LCD Projector adopts Sony original virtual light system with the
all-new super high aperture liquid crystal panel and newly developed bright
165W UHP lamp.
The all-new elliptical reflector with ultra smooth surface combined with a
concave lens enables very small light source and accomplish very high light
collection efficiency. This provides the audience with a clear, crisp and
bright image every time.
Intelligent
Auto Setup Just turn on the power and the following sophisticated functions are initiated.
Powered lens protector
When power is switched on, the powered lens protector opens automatically.
You will never waste time looking for a missing lens cover - it is always
safe on the projector.
Powered tilt adjuster
and Auto Keystone Correction
A power operated tilt adjuster sets the projector's shooting angle, and keystone
distortion is automatically corrected according to the tilt angle.
The tilt angle is adjustable from the remote control unit and the new setting
retained in memory. Keystone distortion can be corrected up to a projector
tilt angle of 15 degrees by the remote control unit.
This means that images can be projected with the correct geometry even where
installation space is limited.
The previous setting of each function is held in memory and recalled automatically.
Smart APA (Auto
Pixel Alignment) No need to adjust your PC computer or VPL-CX5 video projector for optimum
picture performance, the Smart APA function ensures that the display is automatically
sized and adjusted for optimum picture performance whatever the input signal.
Auto Input Search Images are projected instantly. This is because the SONY VPLCX5 LCD projector
automatically detects the presence of a connected input signal when you connect
the devise or put on the power. You don't have to manually select the input
via the input select button.
Inputs are provided
for composite video, S-video and (Y/R-Y/B-Y)/RGB component signals.
Various Inputs The portable Sony VPLCX5 video projector has a built-in scan converter
that allows it to accept composite video, component video or RGB video input
signal. USB Input is also available for wireless mouse control.
Memory Stick
Compatibility
The convenience of Memory Stick media allows the portable Sony VPL-CX5 to
present PC-Less. PowerPoint® presentations, BMP, TIFF & JPEG files
can be stored onto the Memory Stick media and then presented, without a PC
and with great ease on the VPD-MX10. PowerPoint presentation are converted
to JPEG Images.
4-times digital
zoom Want to emphasize a point in your presentation! The bright SONY VPL-CX5
Digital Zoom feature allows any designated section of the projected image
to be zoomed in up to 4X larger.

The XGA Sony VPL-CX5

design. With just the buttons most commonly used located on a sleek top panel,

and easy to carry. Other buttons and the connectors are concealed behind a
cover when they are not being used, adding to the smart appearance.

is light, only weighing 2.7 kg (5 lb 6 oz).
Freeze Function
The "Freeze" function on the Sony VPLCX5 allows the presenter to
freeze-frame their presentation on the projector, allowing the audience to
see only that slide, while the presenter can successfully toggle their documents
on the PC desktop. When ready, the presenter can depress the freeze function
and the audience is non the wiser!
Keystone Correction
Keystone distortion of up to 15 degrees can be digitally corrected. Images
can be projected with the correct geometry even in the limitation of space.
