It’s a widespread misconception that all IEEE 1394
cables are alike. Substandard IEEE 1994 cables can have performance
problems that result in poor performance just like regular A/V cables.
Digital artifacting, pixelization or choppy colored blocks can degrade
video quality. Audio can sound harsh with diminished soundstage or a
