With an enormous 61 inch screen,
the NEC 61MP1 / PX-61XM1A flat panel plasma display provides a
previously unheard of plasma monitor size while maintaining an
exceptional picture quality of 16:9 XGA native resolution.
Assisting the NEC Plasma TV 61MP1's
1365x768 WideXGA native resolution are Advanced AccuBlend Technology
and NEC's exclusive Capsulated Color Filter Technology, producing
superior color saturation, contrast, depth, picture quality and the
purest shade of red yet possible in a plasma flat panel display
monitor. And for computer sources, a scan converter with an Optimum
Conversion process for signals up to UXGA is included. In addition,
a 3-2 pull down converter and a motion-compensated 3D scan converter
deliver smooth, lifelike displays of video content while Advanced
Mass Area Sampling straightens diagonal lines and reproduces curved
lines more smoothly.
NEC's AccuShield Phosphor
Protection System, an Inverse RGB, Pixel Orbiter and Brightness
Limiter modes help alleviate the possibility of phosphor burn. The
Nec 61MP1 / PX-61XM1A Flat Panel Plasma TV Monitor also includes an
internal 7-Watt stereo audio amplifier, external speaker jacks and
optional external speakers that can attach to the sides of the
monitor. Advanced display features also include a digital 9x zoom
and a split screen option for a variety of simultaneous displays of
multiple sources. Split screen also allows you to display 1024x768
XGA sources in their standard 4:3 aspect ratio. And flexible
mounting configurations let you use the 61MP1 in both horizontal and
vertical positions.
NEC's
Plasma PlasmaSync 61MP1 / PX-61XM1A Flat Panel Plasma TV Display sets a new benchmark for large screen size and
outstanding image quality. With a 61 inch diagonal screen, the
new flat panel monitor will be the first commercially available plasma display
with a screen larger than 60" when it is moved into mass
production in the summer of 2001. The monitor has a 1365x768 WideXGA
native resolution in a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio with proportionally
true square pixels. Its 61” screen delivers a display area of
nearly 1600 square inches – an approximately 50% increase in the
display area provided by a 50 inch flat panel plasma monitor. The monitor’s PDP
(Plasma Display Panel)
module has a peak brightness of 600 cd/m² and a dark room contrast
ratio of 1000:1, adding excellent picture quality to the benefit
of it’s large size. The monitor will incorporate the award-winning
feature set of NEC’s other MP Series plasma flat panel monitors designed
for top performance in multimedia presentation applications.
